Terms of service

Short version: your stuff is yours, be reasonable, and remember this is a young service run in earnest but without an army behind it.

The service

hoardboard lets you save product links to boards, fills in details by reading the pages you point it at, and watches prices. It is in early access: everything is currently free, with limits (ten boards, two hundred and fifty items) that may change. A paid tier may arrive later; if it does, nothing you have already saved is taken away or held hostage.

Your content

What you save belongs to you. You give us only the permission needed to operate the service — to store it, back it up, show it to you and to people you explicitly share a board with. Export it or delete it at any time from Settings.

Reasonable use

• One person per account; keep your password and API tokens to yourself.
• Do not use hoardboard to store unlawful content or to harass anyone.
• Do not hammer the service — the API is rate limited, and scraping is paced out of politeness to the shops we read; do not try to defeat either.

Accounts that abuse the service or other people can be suspended or closed.

The honest fine print

The service is provided as-is, without warranties. Prices shown are what a shop's page said when we read it — check before you buy. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us, which during early access is nothing. We are not affiliated with any shop whose pages you save.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Questions: privacy@hoardboard.app.
